FAQ
What kind of education will my child receive at the Mendham Co-op?
Our child-centered curriculum incorporates developmentally appropriate activities that stimulate academic growth, creativity, and imaginative exploration. Children practice numbers and letters, enjoy music and stories, investigate science and nature, and gain self-confidence through artistic, verbal, and physical expression.
Are all of your families Mendham residents?
No! You do not have to reside in Mendham to attend our school. The students who attend our school live in many local communities, including but not limited to, Chester, Randolph, Morristown, and of course, Mendham.
What classes & hours are offered at the Mendham Co-op?
The Co-op offers morning classes for children ages 2½ to 5. Lunch Bunch is offered most school days as an extended day option for all students. Enrichment programs are also offered outside of regular class time, usually following Lunch Bunch. Camp is typically offered for the first two weeks of summer. In addition, several sessions of a Mommy & Me-style class, called Messy Play, are offered throughout the year for younger children not yet ready to attend school on their own.
What are the responsibilities of a Co-op parent?
Number one: To enjoy your child's school experience! And also, to be as involved as you are able to be! Family involvement here includes participation in your child's classroom as well as on a parent committee, and there are enough options to suit various preferences and commitment levels. Parents play an integral part in the Co-op experience, and we hope that you will seize the opportunity to meet new friends and express your talents.
